Former US Vice President Mike Pence is now intensifying his criticism of Donald Trump after the storming of the Capitol last year.
Pence calls Trump’s actions reckless and believes that his words to his supporters fueled the protests in a way that became dangerous for everyone in the Capitol, including for Pence himself, he says in an interview with ABC.
– The president’s words that day in front of the crowd meant a danger to me and my family and everyone in the Capitol, says Pence, who will release his memoirs this week.
The crowd that entered the Capitol chanted “hang Mike Pence.” Trump then rather fired at them by criticizing his vice president on Twitter – who he wanted to try to change the election results – for being a “coward”.
