The actor recently made the faux pas on The Graham Norton Show. When asked if Baby Yoda would be added to the series via CGI, Pascal replied:
Baby Yoda is [als Puppe im Bild]. There are two different versions of…I can’t believe I just said Baby Yoda. It’s the first time! […] His name is Grogu.

In a quirky Vanity Fair interview a good year ago, he admitted to occasionally calling his little Mandalorian protégé Baby Yoda, but fortunately never in front of the camera. He has that achievement now nullified by his TV blunder.
Most Star Wars fans will forgive him. After all, even the greatest purists use the nickname because it is simply catchy and appropriate. Pascal shows at most, that he belongs in the midst of the crowds of fans. And in The Mandalorian, they often don’t bother with the names, but simply enjoy the touching father-son story.
