Pedro Pascal stars as Joel Miller in the video game adaptation of The Last of Us. However, the actor has since forgotten he was cast in the HBO hit. How it came about, he told in a talk show.

He co-starred with Joel Miller in the HBO hit The Last of Us. However, the actor once forgot his role commitment, as he said with a laugh.

“What are you talking about? We called you and told you you got the job.”
In February 2023, the actor explained on the talk show “The Graham Norton Show” how he completely forgot that he was cast in the HBO series The Last of Us.
The actor says he was in London for a job. Then everything happened quite quickly: He read the scripts and exchanged them with the important people in the project.
To do this, Pascal has to stay up late into the night because those responsible for the project were in LA. After that, the actor was very excited about the prospect of the role in The Last of Us.
To calm down, he took a sleeping pill. Pascal had not expected a phone call as to whether he had received the role or not until the following day at the earliest.
But then the phone rang. A little dazed from the pill, the actor answered it.
So they called me to say I got the job, but I had already taken the pill […]
I remember being like, “Oh my god!” and then apparently a few minutes on the phone went by and I was like, “So how does it look, did I get the job?”

The caller answered confused: “What are you talking about? We called you and told you you got the job.” Pascal responded with, “Oh, did you?”
The actor then informed the caller that he had just taken a sleeping pill.

The next day, the actor woke up… and again wondered if he’d gotten the job on The Last of Us. Pascal prepared to wait all day for a call about whether or not he got the role of Joel Miller.
But when people later congratulated him on his role via message, the actor remembered the acceptance and was happy about his big project (via YouTube).
In the same clip, the star also admitted that she wasn’t familiar with The Last of Us game before she got the job opportunity.
He only learned more about it from his two nephews, both of whom immediately urged him to be a part of the video game adaptation.
Another role of Pedro Pascal led to a strange photo request from fans, which in hindsight left the actor incredibly uncomfortable:
