Since last summer, a series of robberies and extortions have been reported to the police, which SVT previously reported on.
Now eleven teenagers suspected of being involved in various ways are charged.
Six of them are suspected of having lured a man to the bathing area in Björklinge in August of last year and there showered him with kicks and punches and then robbed him of his payment card and car keys.
After the humiliating assault, the group allegedly withdrew SEK 26,000 from the person’s account, and one of the defendants is also suspected of having pressured the person for another SEK 119,000.
Arrested in car
A year later, four of the teenagers allegedly appeared at the victim’s home and again tried to extort money from him. Later that evening, the police stopped a car in Björklinge with the quartet in it, of which two of them – both 18 years old – have since been in custody.
The 18-year-olds are also suspected, together with another teenager, of aggravated assault and attempted robbery against another man at the bathing area in Björklinge, the day after the first act of violence last summer. The trio allegedly tricked or forced the victim there to hit and kick him in the head.
“Exposing pedophiles to crime”
Most of the defendants deny crimes, but some must have admitted some involvement, according to Lina Elfwing.
– They have said that they intended to expose pedophiles to crime and that they tried to get access to people who buy sex from minors, but we have not been able to see if the plaintiffs have done so, she says.
Some of the violent attacks are said to be on film, which will be shown during the seven-day trial.
Prosecutor: Are there more victims
In total, there are five men who have been exposed to the league, but according to Lina Elfwing, the number of victims may be many more than that.
– There can be various reasons for not wanting to come forward. it doesn’t have to be because you want to meet a child, you might want to meet a person outside of your relationship or a person of the same sex while not being open about your orientation.
In addition to the assaults in Björklinge, the defendants are suspected of robberies in Svartbäcken, Årsta and Norby.
