Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Norfolk crash: Police

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a collision involving a passenger vehicle in Norfolk County late Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred on Bell Mill Sideroad near Tillsonburg at about 5:45 p.m.

Norfolk OPP, Norfolk County fire and paramedic services along with members of the Oxford OPP responded to the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital while the driver of the vehicle – the lone occupant — did not sustain any injuries. The pedestrian’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening, police said in an update on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.

Bell Mill Sideroad between Rokeby Sideroad and Goshen Road was closed for several hours for investigation.

Two face drug charges in Brant County

Provincial police recovered stolen property and seized illicit drugs during a Dec. 18 raid of a Governors Road East address in Brant County.

Brant County OPP say two people were arrested and now face several charges.

A 38-year-old Brant County women has been charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (methamphetamine, opioids), altering, destroying, removing a vehicle identification number, fraudulent concealment and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

A 39-year-old Brant County man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (methamphetamine, opioids), altering, destroying, removing a vehicle identification number, fraudulent concealment and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

One of the accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on Feb. 12. The second was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police are continuing to investigate and say additional charges are pending.

The Brant OPP street crimes unit with assistance from the Oxford County OPP emergency response team and OPP canine unit executed the search warrant.
