A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle early Monday morning near Selkirk.

The Haldimand OPP and Haldimand fire and paramedic services were called to the scene on Rainham Road, east of Selkirk, just before 6 am
The pedestrian, a 74-year-old from Selkirk, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are assisting with the investigation.
Rainham Road was closed between Haldimand Road 12 and Isabella Street for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation. It has since reopened.

Police seek public’s help after pickup truck stolen
Police are seeking assistance from the public after a pickup truck was stolen in Courtland.
Norfolk OPP were called on Sunday morning to investigate the theft from 2nd Concession Road. It was determined that sometime overnight, someone broke into a garage on the property and stole a maroon 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck that was parked inside.
