As BirminghamWorld reveals, Knight gave an update on the Peaky Blinders film at the premiere of his new BBC series, This Town, and clarified the question of whether Cillian Murphy is returning. In the series he plays the main role, Thomas Shelby. He recently won the Oscar for Best Actor for Oppenheimer.
Knight says that Murphy “definitely” is back and also reveals the rough time frame for filming to start. In the September 2024 The first release on the as yet untitled Peaky Blinders film is to be released. Filming will take place at Digbeth Loc Studios in Birmingham, where large parts of the series were previously shot.
When does the Peaky Blinders movie start?
A release date for the Peaky Blinders film has not yet been set. Based on the start of filming, it should no earlier than the end of 2025 come to publication.
