Patrik Laine is excited to be able to put on the Lions shirt just for his new club in the Montreal Home Arena. He was also pleased that Finland would only face Canada in Boston.
– Above all, we don’t have to play against Canada here (in Montreal). It’s always fun not to get boom. Hope they encourage me, Laine laughed at journalists in English.
Laine was asked how Finland plays. Laine described that Finland is firmly defending as a five and gives the opponents nothing for free.
– We probably see a lot of low -goals, but it doesn’t matter as long as we win.
The foreign journalist asked Laine after that he could enjoy this kind of game.
– If we win, definitely. But if we lose, it doesn’t matter how we play, because it (losing) is not fun. Our way of playing has brought a lot of success over the last ten years, so why change it.
Tesoma’s cannon goes to the tournament with a good feeling.
– It’s always nice to be able to play on the national team and especially at home. I’m excited and the body feels good. Anyway, there is a good time, so there is no complaining.
Laine is aware that other countries have tough names, but so does the lion.
– We go closely to defend and we don’t give a friend anything to joy. We try to be a very difficult team for opponents, Laine said and also mentioned the importance of goalkeeper and overpowering.
