Was on the sidelines for four matches due to illness Patrick Laine returned to the rink when Montreal faced Dallas in the NHL.
Laine immediately scored from his familiar spot, when Montreal played five against three. However, the hit was the only one for the Canadiens. The match stretched to a winning goal competition and Dallas won 2–1. For Dallas, the victory was already the seventh in a row.
Laine, who was on the sidelines due to a knee injury at the beginning of the season, has scored nine goals this season, all with power play.
Kaapo Kako scored two goals Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen over when Seattle beat Buffalo 6–2. Buffalo led the match 2–0, but Seattle hit six shots in a row after that, Kako’s goals were the fourth and fifth of them. The first surprised Luukkonen from further away and the second right in front of the ground.
Kako now has a total of seven hits this season. Luukkonen saved 24 shots.
