In his new comic, Patrice Killofer tells in a series of silent boxes, the friendship between a man and a machine. A poetic reflection on the relationship between man and machine, born of a previous collaboration with the philosopher Dominique Lestel.

Patrice Killofer is one of the leading figures of alternative comics. He is one of the founders of the Association publishing house in the early 90s, with associates such as Jean-Christophe Menu and Lewis Trondheim. For a long time he edited the magazine, mon Lapin Quotidien.

Since its creation, it has also been a member of the Oubapo, the potential comic book workshop, in other words the comic book version of the Oulipo.

Suffice to say that he had plenty to surprise you with. With his new album, he did not hesitate. A series of silent boxes, with the strength of black and white, which tell of a double encounter: that of man and robot, and that of designer and philosopher.

270 vignettes that form this comic book album, inspired by a philosophical essay published by Fayard editions, and entitled ” Insurgent machines, a post-biological theory of life ” written by Dominique Lestel.
