The hospital has no choice but to cancel all scheduled appointments and operations, says spokesperson Sandra van Dulmen of St. Antonius Hospital. “We had to make the decision to cancel everything for now because otherwise we cannot guarantee the safety of care.” For now, only today’s treatments have been canceled. The question remains whether they will continue tomorrow. “We are working hard to see how we can get everything functioning,” says Van Dulmen.
