Patients often want fewer pills but do not discuss this

Utrecht – Many long-term medication users want to deal with medication use differently, reports the Institute for Responsible Medicine Use (IVM). For example, patients doubt the usefulness of the medication or suffer from side effects. According to research by the Utrecht institute, they mainly want to review the use of blood pressure lowering agents, cholesterol lowering agents, antidepressants and antacids. These are also the most commonly prescribed medications.
