The patient was sent home from the University Hospital in Uppsala but died four days later. A report has now been made to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo).

Sudden chest pains caused a person to seek emergency care at the hospital. After an examination, the assessment was made that the pain was due to shoulder-related problems and the patient was sent home, writes Upsala Nya Tidning.

Four days later, the patient returned to the hospital with cardiac arrest and died.

Now Ivo will review the healthcare system’s handling of the incident.
