A doctor at a forensic psychiatric clinic was assaulted with six stab wounds when he left his workplace. A man who was on leave from the clinic for attempted murder is now sentenced, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
The knife attack took place at a clinic in Gothenburg in February. The doctor received life-threatening injuries.
The man who went on the attack is in his 60s. He has previously been sentenced to closed forensic psychiatric care and now receives the same punishment again.
A surveillance film shows how the man waited for about half an hour outside the building while other people passed by. When the doctor came, the man went to attack.
– I thought that now it’s over, the doctor has said in interrogation, according to GP.
The perpetrator must also pay SEK 155,000 in damages to the doctor.
