The developers of Path of Exile 2 have released a short update on the upcoming early access phase. The well-known streamer HandofBlood reacts with the right outfit and the right pose.
What was announced? A post from the developers of Path of Exile 2 went live on X last night. It says there:
“In about a month, we will be hosting a livestream where we will introduce you to all of the early access content for Path of Exile 2 and explain how you can get access.”
Since the rumor mill was already churning, another clarification followed: Similar to “Fall of Oriath”, this time you should be able to secure access to early access by purchasing a new supporter package. This includes all PoE fans who have reached the lifetime support threshold in the first Path of Exile.
Here is the trailer for the early access announcement of Path of Exile 2:
HandofBlood is a big fan of Path of Exile
What about HandofBlood? The well-known streamer and YouTuber Maximilian Paul Karl-Heinz Knabe, known as Hänno for short, reacted to the developers’ announcement with a humorous tweet on X.
As you can see, he’s already dressed up for the wait for Path of Exile 2’s early access launch. This reminds us of the well-known meme with the waiting man (via knowyourmeme.com):
When Stefan asked whether he even had time to play such an RP monster, Hänno replied (via X): “POE is my most played game on Steam – haha.”
How is the community still reacting to the post?
What do I need to know about Path of Exile 2? The hack & slay adventure from Grinding Gear Games is the sequel to 2013’s Path of Exile and was first introduced in November 2015. It was originally said that a beta for everyone would take place in June 2024. However, this plan was scrapped.
The monetization of the Free2Play game should be just as fair as in the first part, with an in-game shop for cosmetic offers and facilities such as more inventory space. The developers promise a story campaign for part 2 that should keep you on the edge of your seat for around 40 to 50 hours.
You can expect a heavily redesigned combat experience, lots of freedom when building your builds and an exciting choice of twelve character classes. There are also deep equipment and skill systems and a fresh endgame experience: Path of Exile 2 throws you into boss fights that are less reminiscent of Diablo 4 and more reminiscent of Dark Souls
