On December 12, 2024, Path of Exile 2 received a new patch. Update 0.1.0d brings a total of 82 changes and bug fixes. MeinMMO has the official German patch notes for you.
When is the patch available? The update is already live on the Path of Exile 2 servers. All users should be able to download a new version of the game on their platform. The servers are now online again after they went into maintenance for a few minutes while the patch was applied. So you can now start playing with the new changes straight away.
Patch 0.1.0d brings 82 changes. The improvements also include balance changes, for example “leeching” (sucking blood from enemies) has been buffed. Additionally, small monsters can now be pushed away from the dodge roll, making them more efficient.
There were also many changes in the Ultimatum, mainly affecting the balance. The main focus here was on enemies that were much stronger than the rest, and the monster density should now be more consistent. In addition to these and other improvements, the patch also brings many bug fixes. Below you will find the official patch notes for Update 0.1.0d in German.

General improvements and changes
The passive block chance now applies to blockable hits from all directions and no longer just to hits from the front.
Player size is now set to zero units when dodging, instead of one unit.
Some smaller monsters can now be pushed while dodging. These include monsters like the Adorned Beetles in Keth.
Inscribed Ultimatums and Djinn Baryas now indicate whether you receive Ascendancy skill points after completing the Trial of Chaos and Trial of Sekhemas, respectively.
World map pins for encounters that do not come from specific locations in areas, such as monster drops, have been removed.
The behavior of on-site attacks has been improved.
Rain of Arrows and Firestorm now have a hit cap to prevent them from completely wiping out very large bosses. This will have little to no effect outside of boss fights with very large hitboxes.
Leech was buffed.
Boneshatter now hits the target more reliably.
Armor Break duration increased to 12 seconds (was 6).
To improve performance, Incinerate now creates circular areas of ignited ground instead of segments.

Added a button to travel to the Trial of Chaos on the world map.
Melee support graphics have been added.
Added 2D graphics for the Defiance of Destiny unique amulet.

Updated the description of the runes to clarify that once they are socketed, they cannot be replaced.
Auras and curses that affect ally or enemy resistances now display stats in the skill pop-up window.
The sound of the Kiwi pet, Chimera pet, and Baby Crowbell pet has been improved to reduce their impact in urban areas.
The Summoner’s passive Ascension skill “…and Protect me from Harm” has had its wording updated to clarify its functionality.
Hexblast’s description has been updated to clarify that it only applies a single curse per enemy within its radius.
Updated the description of Fiery Death Support to clarify that the supported skill does not have to kill the ignited enemy itself.
Monsters’ defense from the Magma Barrier modifier has been reduced.
Walking Goliaths no longer use their suicide attack when rare.
Trigger Gems and Energy Gain
Trigger Gems’ energy gain was in the wrong place and it was far too easy to use Ailments to trigger spells. One problem with the previous system was that with a balance that was supposed to allow procs in boss fights, procs occurred far too often during clears. To address this, we introduced Monster Power as part of the energy gain calculation. This means that it’s much easier to trigger abilities from Unique Monsters than normal monsters, but you’ll also hit a lot more normal monsters when fighting. Another issue was the use of low-level abilities with unconditional condition effects like Flame Wall to ignite enemies for the proc. To make the source of the Ignite more relevant, the energy gain now depends on the strength of the Ignite. We have also extensively rebalanced overall energy gain.
Ultimatum changes
The balance of Ultimatum monsters, bosses, and modifiers has been generally improved, mainly adjusting outliers that were too difficult to bring them into line.
Monster density in Ultimatum encounters has been made more consistent.
Stormcaller Runes, Blood Globules, Heart Tethers, and Impending Doom Rings will no longer appear while a player is standing on a lift or near the altars in the Vaal Soul Core room.

0.1.0d Hotfix 1
We missed an error! Cast on Critical Strike now also takes the damage of the hit into account when determining how much energy is gained to prevent the use of high-critical, low-level abilities. This should mean that using low hit frequency abilities that hit harder is now also much stronger for this mechanic.
