What’s happening in Fortnite today? In Fortnite, Epic Games has shut down the servers for Update 27.00. All players are now eagerly awaiting the new content and can hardly wait to take a spin in Season 5. However, so that you know what new content Epic Games is planning, we have listed the official patch notes for you.

When can I play Fortnite again?
When and how long does the downtime last? This is not yet known. Since the downtime, many players have been wondering when the servers will be active again. However, we assume a time between 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
New map and weapons from Chapter 1
Depending on the update and hotfix that comes with Chapter 4 Season 5, additional locations and items will be thrown onto the map. The following items await you at the release:
Epic Games itself reports that some items will remain until the end of Season 5, while others will be removed with upcoming updates and hotfixes to make room for new OG items and weapons. So if you don’t want to miss anything, you have to stay tuned and play almost every day.
Hotfix brings items from Season 6
With the upcoming hotfix in Chapter 4 Season 5, players will experience changes on the map and in the loot pool. New vehicles, weapons and items will be added. You can expect the following:
Update on November 16th brings more items
With Update 27.10, additional items and locations will be added to Chapter 4 Season 5. The update is scheduled to be released on November 16th and will bring the following things with it:
Hotfix 27.11 brings the last items on November 23rd
What is probably the last update for Season 5 will be released on November 23rd and will bring a final wave full of items and weapons that you can use on the new map. The following were presented:
OG Battle Pass and Shop
Fotnite is launching a new, but shorter Battle Pass with Season 5. You will now receive 4 skins, items and 1000 V-Bucks from the OG Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks. Epic is also offering a new OG shop in which old items from the past that are extremely rare are available for purchase. It is not known what items these are, apart from one skin.
Ranked is adjusted
The ranked mode will be adjusted with the OG season. Mid- to high-level players should rank up more quickly thanks to the short nature of Season 5. In addition, rounds with 80 players should be able to start if no other players can be found in the match search. This is intended to make matches fairer for players with higher ranks.
If you also complete one of the material contracts in a ranked match, you will also receive the exclusive back accessory Rank Tags.
Rewards in cups
Chapter 4 Season 5 will feature exclusive cups where you can earn two temporary items for your locker.

Once you log in to Chapter 4 Season 5, you will receive a free lobby music “The RE-OG” by Metro Boomin. When you log in, you will find the item in your locker.
