Patch 7.11 brings fatal raid, Ultimate Race starts

As of today, Patch 7.11 of Final Fantasy XIV is in the starting blocks and includes the new Fatal Raid “A Second Future (fatal)”. You can read all the information about it and what else the patch has in store here at MeinMMO.

What kind of raid is this? The fatal raids, or “Ultimate Raids”, are probably the most challenging content of Final Fantasy XIV. In “A Second Future (fatal)” you return to the light-flooded world of the first shard and once again face an icy Ryne.

This also opens the hunt for the first kill of the raid. You can find out here how you can take part and what else you should know about it.

Everything about the requirements

What are the requirements for the raid? In order to unlock the content, you must first have leveled a warrior or magician to level 100. The epic raid “Arkadion – Light Heavyweight R4 (Epic)” must also have been completed.

Where do I unlock the new raid? You can unlock the fatal raid at the Traveling Singer in Tulliyollal at coordinates X:11.1, Y:14.6 as soon as you meet the requirements.

How do I get into the raid? You need a full group of 8 players to enter. The content is accessed via the content search for the difficult content.

Is there a time limit? Yes, you have around 120 minutes to complete the content.

Is there a job restriction? Yes, if you enter the raid with double jobs, the limit bar will no longer fill automatically over time. However, this excludes bonus growth through actions such as healing an ally just before they die or interrupting an opponent’s special attack. You can read more about this change here: Final Fantasy XIV: Patch 7.11 finally gives healers something to do again

All about the rewards

What items do you get for graduation? For each completion there is a totem for each player as well as a weapon crate to roll on. These each contain an Ultimate Edenmorgen Weapon with an item level of 735. The contents adapt to the job used to open the chest. The sheet music rolls “Return to Oblivion (Scions & Sinners: Band)” and “A Sundering of Light” may also be included.

Is there a limit on the boxes? Each player can receive a chest and a totem once per week by completing the content. Group members who have already received the rewards this week will not affect the completion reward count.

Where can I exchange the totems? The totems can be exchanged for Ultimate Edenmorrow Weapons at Uah’shepya in Solution Nine at coordinates X:8.7, Y:13.5.

How many totems do I need for a weapon? You need exactly 1 totem per weapon that you want to exchange.

Is there also an achievement for graduation? Yes, the achievement “You are mine and I am yours” is achieved upon completion and earns you the title “Fountain of Legends”.

The patch still brings these changes

What else awaits you? In addition to the new raid, the patch also brings with it some adjustments to the jobs in PvP that are intended to improve the balance.

The New Game+ has also been expanded to include a chapter that you unlock after completing the role mission “The Forces of Vidraal” and lets you experience the role missions again.

Additionally, new items have been added and problems have been fixed. You can read the full patch notes on page 2.
