Patch 10.2.7 is live – you should do this today

The latest World of Warcraft patch is live. We’ll tell you what you should definitely do in patch 10.2.7 “Dark Heart”.

The last patch for World of Warcraft Dragonflight has been live since yesterday morning (May 7th, 2024). The update 10.2.7 Dark Heart brings many small innovations, even if the big highlight only follows next week.

Three new questlines – Khadgar, Night Elves and Dracthyr

A total of three new quest series are waiting for you to experience a little more story in the World of Warcraft.

  • Probably the most important quest series takes you to Dalaran and Khadgar. The cinematic for this quest has already been published in advance. The search begins for the mysterious harbinger, who will sooner or later herald the events of the next expansion. We explained the whole story of the Harbinger here.
  • Another quest line takes place in Bel’ameth. A night elf wants to bury her fallen sister here – but she had a dark secret. You have to decide how to proceed in this very emotional quest series.
  • Finally, it is time for the Dracthyr Glutthal to finally choose a visage. She had always put this off – but now the day has finally come to finally change that.

    • New heritage armor for trolls and draenei

    Two more races are finally getting their long-awaited traditional armor: Trolls and Draenei. In order to start the quest series, you must have reached at least level 50 with a troll or a draenei character.

    You then visit Stormwind (Draenei) or Orgrimmar (Troll) to start the quest series, at the end of which the coveted set awaits.

    Return to Pandaria with WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria

    For many, the highlight of the patch will be the “WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria” mode. However, it didn’t start yesterday, but was delayed by a few days. This way everyone can devote themselves to the story quests in peace.

    WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria launches worldwide on May 16th at 7:00 p.m. Here you can level a new character from level 10 in Pandaria and collect very special equipment with powerful effects. Leveling is drastically accelerated. Additional rewards include lots of transmogs, toys and mounts – including some completely new color variations that have never been available before.

    As with Plunderstorm, this mode will also be limited in time and will only be active for a few weeks. Characters you leveled here can later be taken into the new expansion “The War Within” – in addition to all the cool rewards.

    What else is in patch 10.2.7?

    Aside from the highlights, there are still a lot of small adjustments and improvements. Here are the most important things:

  • The Search by Group tool now has many more filtering and customization options.
  • You can now filter the auction house specifically for items “only from the current expansion”.
  • Dragon Races are now permanently displayed on the map unless you disable this option.
  • The hunters’ stable has been updated and can now be sorted and filtered.

    • Overall, patch 10.2.7 is a relatively small patch that only brought a few new activities. Rather, it is the link between the current expansion Dragonflight and the next expansion “The War Within”. The story’s attention slowly turns to the new threat and the search for the mysterious harbinger has begun.
