A man in his 30s is suspected of trying to rape several teenage girls at a party on Saturday night.
It was the man himself who arranged the party – and alerted the police.
– Parents of the young people had come there, forced their way into the home and threatened him with a hammer, says Caroline Karlsson, press spokesperson for the police.
A man in his 30s invited a group of teenagers to a party at his residence in Varberg on Saturday evening. Among other things, he allegedly offered the young people, who were between 15 and 18 years old, alcohol.
– But he is also suspected of having tried to rape several girls and he has sexually molested two of them, says Caroline Karlsson.
Raised the alarm myself
Despite the criminal suspicions, it was the man himself who alerted the police.
– Parents of the young people had come there, forced their way into the home and threatened him with a hammer, says Caroline Karlsson.
The parent with the hammer, a man in his 40s, is suspected of unlawful threats and breach of domestic peace.
The man who organized the party has been arrested and detained on suspicion of, among other things, attempted rape and sexual harassment.
