The experiment with Pavlov’s dogs has been given a modern sequel. When Pavlov rang his bell, the tails began to wave at his dogs to please his master and get a treat.
When Jimmie Åkesson rings his bell, the tails of Ulf Kristersson, Ebba Busch and Johan Pehrson wave to be the master of the team. Even if they themselves do not really want to wave, they still do so so as not to upset their master. Åkesson has seized so much power, despite sacred assertions by the tail fans before that this would never happen.
It’s full scale war in Ukraine. As in World War II, Europe’s freedom is at stake. This requires principled leaders who can guide our country through the worst crisis we have experienced since the 1940s.
Then we can not have a weather vane that wants to be an adult leader for the country, that turns its cloak after the wind and sacrifices its principles as the winds carry. We need a leader, like Winston Churchill during World War II, who stands by his values to 100 percent and does not follow the raptors of populism and change his mind as the wind blows and the flute tunes pull.
