In Utrecht, the revelers mainly gather on the Kanaalstraat and around the ULU mosque in the Lombok district. There are hundreds of people with torches and flags. A little further on, on Westplein, long queues of honking cars drive by. Elsewhere in the district it is also busy on the road and fireworks are set off here and there in the city.
