Party at the fair because of 400 year old loan

What is a bond?

A bond – also called an interest letter – is a loan that can be traded on the stock exchange. If governments, large companies or other institutions need money to invest, they can issue bonds. If you buy a bond, you lend your money to, for example, the government. You then receive interest annually. At the end of the term, usually after 10 or 15 years, you get your investment back.
