Norwegian police tell TT that the alarm came in at 2 p.m. and that it is about a Swedish man in his 50s who has died of cardiac arrest. According to the police, the incident occurred near the lake Kobbvatnet in the municipality of Sørfold, about nine kilometers south of the mountain Stetind. Stetind is in turn about ten miles south of Narvik in northern Norway.
“When we arrived at the scene, cardiopulmonary resuscitation was already underway, but shortly afterwards he was declared dead,” says Lars Halvorsen, the Norwegian police officer on duty, to TT.
