With Alien Ridley Scott has one of the best sci-fi movies ever created. The space horror takes you into the labyrinthine corridors of a spaceship and tells of the relentless fight for survival against an eerie creature. But how did it all start?

Scott wanted to research the origin of the Alien series in his own trilogy. The impetus was the prequel Prometheus, which was released in cinemas in 2012 Sci-fi horror and creation story in one is. Alien: Covenant followed five years later. We will probably never see part 3.

    It will not connect to the story from Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, but will tell something independent. For Scott’s vision, that is a bitter defeat. Still, the filmmaker is staying with the franchise. Similar to Blade Runner 2049, he is still involved as a producer in the expansion of the brand.
