Tomas Eriksson believes that it is not the house itself that is sinking, but the base plate that rests on the muddy bottom that can be found around Uppsala.
– Unfortunately, the ground moves when you build in Uppsala.
Although geological investigations were carried out to determine that the construction would last, the ground floor must now be repaired.
Estimated to cost 13 million
The renovation is estimated to cost SEK 13.2 million, money that has been set aside for maintenance in the past, says Tomas Eriksson.
Tina Forsberg is employed at the Academic Hospital and is disappointed that the parking garage has to be renovated.
– It’s too damned. It’s hard enough to get a place as it is now and now 100 places are going to disappear.
