On Sunday, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced the 12 teams that made it to the Paris Olympics.
Seven teams made it to the Paris Olympic volleyball tournament through the Olympic tournaments and five teams through the world ranking.
France qualified for the tournament as the host country. In addition to this, Brazil, China, the Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Kenya, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Turkey and the reigning Olympic champion, the United States, made it to the Games.
In the Olympic tournament, three groups of four teams will be played, from which the two best of the groups and the two best of the three groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
