Paris Olympic medalist Tom Daley ends his career Sports

British diver Tom Daley, who competed in five Olympics, is ending his career.

30 years old Tom Daley achieved silver together with his partner in the 10-meter double jump competition at the Paris Olympic Games by Noah Williams with.

Daley made his Olympic debut in Beijing in 2008, and at the age of 14 gathered plenty of eyes and media attention for himself.

All eyes were on Daley after he won the 10m springboard championship at the British Championships in January of the Beijing Olympic year, becoming the youngest competitor in history.

Coming off the London, Rio and Tokyo Olympics, one of Britain’s most followed Olympic athletes had a bronze medal. The Tokyo Games in 2021 crowned the pair competition with Olympic gold.

After the gold medal, Daley did not compete for two years.

From the Paris Olympics, which ended on Sunday, Daley had one silver medal left to take home.

Daley has already announced his retirement once, but a visit to the Olympic museum made the former British gold medalist change his mind. However, the Paris Olympics will be Daley’s last.

– It was emotional to be in the jumping tower at the end, knowing this was my last competitive jump, Daley admitted.

Daley has two children with her husband Dustin Lance Black with, and time with family made the decision to quit easier.

– When I saw my husband, my children and other loved ones in the stands, I thought that this is exactly why I did this, Daley said.
