Paris Nice victory for Jakobsen Laporte still in yellow

PARIS-NICE. Sixth victory this season for Fabio Jakobsen who won ahead of Wout Van Aert at the end of the 2nd stage of Paris-Nice.

The second stage of Paris-Nice 2022 was not at all this Monday March 7 with a course totally exposed to the wind which allowed the various teams to achieve the famous borders. Among the runners trapped, the two Frenchmen David Gaudu and Guillaume Martin or even Schachmann, double winner of Paris-Nice. Primoz Roglic or Nairo Quintana were not trapped.

At the end of this eventful stage which could be a taste of the next Tour de France, it was the sprinter Fabio Jakobsen who won this 2nd stage. In the general classification, Christophe Laporte remains the race leader ahead of Primoz Roglic, still the big favourite.

As every year, the race takes place over a week from Sunday March 6, 2022 to Sunday March 13, 2022.

The route of this 80 edition of Paris-Nice was officially unveiled on Wednesday January 5, here are the details of the route:

This Paris-Nice 2022 benefits from a double broadcast on French television, on France 3 and Eurosportwith, in the comments, Alexandre Pasteur, Laurent Jalabert and Marion Rousse on one side, and Guillaume Di Grazia, Jacky Durand, David Moncoutié and Steve Chainel on the other.

Despite the bonuses taken by Wout Van Aert, Christophe Laporte remains the leader of this Paris Nice 2022 ahead of the Belgian.
