Paris + by Art Basel: “In the continuity of the Fiac”, assures its director Clément Delépine

After more than forty years, the Fiac gives way to Paris + by Art Basel. But if the management of the event is now ensured by the Swiss fair in Basel, it is in reality in continuity with the Fiac that the annual meeting of contemporary art at the Grand Palais was imagined. Some 156 galleries are there, a third of which are French. And Paris – following the Covid-19 which is moving Shanghai somewhat further away, and the Brexit which serves London – intends to occupy the first place on the international art market. Paris + opens today to the public and offers works between several million and a few hundred euros.
