At the emergency room, the two-year-old had stitches and a fracture was discovered, which has now been operated on. When the parents later tried to get an answer to what had happened, they initially got no answer. The parents finally chose to report the preschool to the police.
– I understand that accidents can happen, but it’s about the fact that we didn’t get an answer when we tried again and again to talk to the preschool, says the mother.
Breaches in supervisory responsibility
Now the municipality’s own investigation shows that there was no preschool teacher in the vicinity of the accident who saw what actually happened. The Board of Education determines that the pre-school breached its supervisory responsibility at the time of the accident.
The preschool also admits that they failed to call an ambulance.
“An immediate shortcoming in the handling was that the preschool did not call for an ambulance,” they write in their opinion.
