The After-School Care (BSO) Fantaziehuis Waterwin, also in Leidsche Rijn, recently had to temporarily close its doors due to the inspection. That too was indirectly related to the staff shortage, says Van der Vorst. “The inspectorate found that the administration was not in order. There was confusion about the care of children who were in the schoolyard. In the beginning we called the parents, now we did that via a parent app and that is not always read immediately. You would prefer to call parents personally, but that is not possible due to a lack of staff.”
