The famous Gallic amusement park, located 40 minutes from Paris, plans to soon expand its empire. For the moment, no announcement has been made, but an unpublished document reveals its pharaonic projects.
THE Asterix Park as you know it today is about to be transformed. Indeed, because certain amusement parks are reinventing themselves thanks to technological advances, the famous Gallic village, located in Plailly, near Paris, has no other choice but to think about its future to attract ever more visitors. . Last year, it also broke an attendance record with 2.81 million entries. So, to attract more crowds, the Parc Astérix teams are working on major projects for the years to come.
If for the moment, management remains quite discreet about its future projects, several documents, publicly submitted to the town hall, have been revealed by certain fans of Parc Astérix, one of the park’s communications managers confirmed to us. According to the information collected, the objective is clear: the Gallic village wants to develop its leisure offering, expand its hotel offering and redevelop its parking infrastructure.
Concretely, what will change at Parc Astérix? There will be several phases of change, between 2024 and 2031. This year first, the park welcomed a new attraction, La Tour de Numérobis, a new restaurant in the Egypt zone, and above all its first Gallic musical, called “It’s crazy.” In 2025, a new “spinning coaster” type roller coaster will see the light of day, in place of the old National 7 attraction, the Foire aux 6 Trouilles and the Maison de la Peur. The Egyptian zone will also expand, including a 300-seat “fast-food” restaurant.
In 2026, the park will tackle the Greek zone with the installation of two new family attractions, one of which will be capable of propelling its passengers into the air aboard hang gliders. Yet another large restaurant will be built in this area, as well as a water play area. On the hotel side, a fourth themed establishment with 300 rooms will have to be built. At the same time, the entrance to the park will also be redesigned and renovated.
In 2027, fans will have to say goodbye to the legendary Across Time zone, which will be replaced by another, on the theme of London. There will of course be new attractions, sales and catering outlets. This year will also be dedicated to the creation of new parking spaces, a toll booth and a real bus station.
From 2028, the park’s major project will be devoted to the complete restructuring of the Vikings area and possibly a fifth hotel. The final surprise: a new thematic zone would be under discussion. With all these projects, the future of Parc Astérix seems to be assured!
