Paralympic Games: French Goalball team launches into an “unprecedented” atmosphere and Olympic silence

Paralympic Games French Goalball team launches into an unprecedented atmosphere

The French women’s goalball team had their very first match in the Paralympic Games on Thursday, August 29. Thanks to their status as host country, the team also had their quarter of an hour of glory, despite a heavy defeat against Canada, for a sport that is very little known in France. The public, curious and numerous, learned to celebrate the Paralympic joy in a sport where silence is absolutely essential.
