The Paralympic flame will pass through around fifty cities in just a few days.
The Paralympic flame, lit in England, will arrive in France on August 25 after the legendary crossing of the Channel in the company of 24 English athletes and 24 French athletes. Arriving on the French coast in Calais, the Paralympic Flame will multiply into twelve Flames spread across the outskirts of France. It will be carried by no fewer than 1,000 Scouts in around fifty cities, on 12 simultaneous relays that will converge on Paris.
Dates, routes and cities
Valenciennes (North), Anéville (Moselle), Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), Thonon-les-Bains (Haute-Savoie), Antibes Juan-les-Pins (Alpes-Maritimes), Montpellier (Hérault), Lourdes (Hautes-Pyrénées), La Roche-sur-Yon (Vendée), Lorient (Morbihan), Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Villaine), Rouen (Seine-Maritime) will be entitled to the first relay.
On August 26, each will stop in one or more new cities: the first flame will pass through Arras (Pas-de-Calais), Amiens (Somme) and Chambly (Oise), the second will stop in Laon (Aisne), the third in Châlons-en-Champagne (Marne), the fourth in Troyes (Aube), the fifth in Châtillon-sur-Seine (Côte d’Or), the sixth in Lyon (Rhône), the seventh in Vichy (Allier), the eighth in Limoges (Haute-Vienne), the ninth in Blois (Loir-et-Cher), the tenth in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), the eleventh in Deauville (Calvados) and the twelfth in Louviers (Eure). On August 27, the flame will cross the Ile de France before ending in apotheosis in Paris
On August 28, the scouts will carry eleven flames to 22 Parisian locations and all the arrondissements, while the main flame from Great Britain will travel up Paris via the Place de la Nation, the town hall on the 11thethe Place de la République, the Place de la Bastille and the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville.
The relay captains

Mona Francis (European Para triathlon champion), Florent Manaudou (Olympic swimming champion), Laure Manaudou (Olympic swimming champion) and Dimitri Pavadé (silver medalist at the Tokyo Paralympic Games in long jump) will be the captains of the relay.
