In January 2025, Pantamera/Returpack announced that the mortgage will be raised on both aluminum cans and small and large plastic bottles.
The new packages will be out for sale in early September, and then they will be able to order immediately.
But anyone who wants to secure their mortgage money on the old jars and PET bottles are right to keep track of the calendar. They must be pledged within two years from the last sale date.
Return Pack has confirmed for News24 That the last day for the sale of products with the old mortgage is December 31, 2026. These can thus be pledged until no later than December 31, 2028.
It is far there, and hopefully everyone will get to a mortgage station before the time expires. But what happens if you miss the last date – or if you find a bunch of old jars in any corner at home after December 31, 2028?
On its website, Pantamera/Returpack promises help to the customers who contact their customer service.
But what can you as a customer expect? Can you get money out on your old pledge anyway, only you hear from you?
This is how Pantamera answers the question:
“We will of course remind consumers to order their outgoing packaging and after two years the mortgage on a product has ceased,” says Erik EbbesonCustomer Manager at Pantamera/Return Pack to News24 and continues:
“But – with that said – we will of course help consumers who are a little late through and replace them if they contact us. Before we replace, we check that the mortgage packs are correct and that they are really submitted for recycling.”
