Blake Nielson, snowboarding in the US state of Utah, had moments of fear.
Nielson, who started to slide from the snow-covered summit in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City, was caught in an avalanche after a while. It was seen that Nielson was trying to balance in the moments reflected in the helmet camera. Nielson, who slid about 90 meters, managed to stop. Nielson said the avalanche continued for about 120 meters and then stopped.
The last death due to avalanches in the state was recorded in 2021, according to Utah Avalanche Center data.
