Panic in the USA 10 year old boy in custody over threat

A 10-year-old boy in Florida has been detained for allegedly sending a text message threatening to blow up his school. After 19 children and two teachers were killed in a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, by 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, this threatening message caused widespread panic.

5th GRADE STUDENT

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office statement, Marquez was a fifth grade student at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral, Florida. Questioned by authorities, Marquez was charged with making written threats to commit mass murder.

”TERRIFYING”

“This student’s behavior is appalling, especially after the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texas. Making sure our children are safe is paramount. There will be law and order in our schools. Our team did not hesitate for a second to investigate this threat,” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

The incident is being investigated by the School Threat Enforcement Team and Youth Services Criminal Investigations Unit.
