In Palworld you have a variety of powerful Pals at your disposal. However, some players forego this because they cannot emotionally separate themselves from their other Pals.
What kind of Pals are we talking about here? Many Palworld players cannot part with their Pals because they feel an emotional connection to them. It’s not even about particularly powerful or rare Pals, but about those that have their own meaning for the players.
But if you’re still looking for a fast ground mount, then you’ll find it here:
In her post on reddit, player Kastamera begins this discussion by sharing her bond with the chillet she first caught in the game. Chillet is an Ice and Dragon-type Pal that you can ride, dealing constant Dragon-type damage. It can keep everything cool in your base.
In her post, Kastamera describes her own chillet with the words: “She’s a little hungry, but I would never swap it for any other pal.”
She also posts a picture of the values of her chillet, which even has the name Princess. That alone should probably show that this pal is very important to this player.
How does the community react? In fact, there are no jokes or particularly negative comments about the user’s playing style from other Palworld players. The post has already received 2,300 upvotes in two days.
In addition, more and more players are reporting on their emotional connection to various Pals and the reasons why they simply cannot part with them.
For example, user iKorvux reports:
Me: starting a massive breeding project to create a mining team of Anubis and Digtoise, a perfect IV team, and I’ll probably do the same with every Pal in my base.
Me too: Got the first Ribbuny I caught because my friends were so excited when we saw one for the first time because it’s cute
The user ItsDanimal reacts to this and admits that at first he thought this post was only about Pals that you use in combat, but if it was about everyone, then he himself has 2.5 bases full of bad Pals that he just caught.
The first caught Pals in particular seem to play a big role here. A user compares his first Pal with a Pikachu that now accompanies him everywhere. Phlutteringphalanges reacts with approval and would itself be accompanied by the first captured Pal throughout the entire journey.
Other users admit that they form a deeper bond, especially with the Pals, which they themselves let slip. Whether you continue to send these Pals into battle or just let them live in their base obviously varies from player to player.
However, user Aggressive-Expert-69 responded to this post with a completely different response, writing: “Posts like this make me feel like a heartless monster.” Which probably suggests that not all players feel emotionally connected to their Pals.
Do you have any special pals that you don’t want to let go? Feel free to join in the discussion.
