The world in Palworld is large and you can build exactly three bases. Then the locations for your bases should of course be the best possible. Here are our 5 recommendations for every need, with placement marked on a map.
How did we choose our base suggestions? When making our selection, we made sure that there were good base suggestions for you, especially in the early and mid-game. With these suggestions you should be able to protect your first bases well and quickly access important raw material deposits later.
Can I tear down my base later and rebuild it somewhere else? You can set up up to three Palboxes at the same time and have up to three bases at the same time. Please note, however, that you only unlock the additional bases with higher storage levels.
Attention: If you destroy a Palbox to build your camp in a new location, you will lose items that cannot be built outside of camps.

Best Base Locations – Our 5 suggestions
For beginners
Most Palworld players will start at the Plane of Departure. There you will wash up in the opening cutscene and you will meet the first Pals in the open world. There are also two very good locations for your first camp.
The first good place is directly the one shown in the cutscene – on the beach. The location can be found on the level of the south departure at coordinates 264 and -548. Here you will find the first pals, stone, wood and paldium fragments.
Alternatively, you can make your way over or through the hill to the north and settle in at 230 and -515. There is also a fast travel point nearby. There is stone and wood here.
Both spots are easy to defend if you are attacked. The second spot doesn’t have paldium, but it’s a bit safer because it’s not as easy to access as the first.
To farm ore
Ores are indispensable at a certain point. Therefore, it may be important for you to set up a camp in a spot with a high ore deposit. Here we can recommend the autumnal Hillside, the area west of the small village. You can find it at 7 and -529.
The ore deposits respawn every in-game day.

For farming Pal oil
As you progress further into Palworld, sooner or later you will need large amounts of Pal Oil. It is necessary for weapons such as the musket at level 21 or the assault rifle at level 45. It is also required for polymer plates, which you also use for weapons and circuit boards.
A base for farming the valuable raw material therefore makes perfect sense. We can recommend the twilight dunes at coordinates -94 and -119. The desert, where you can also find the boss variant of Anubis, is small but full of Dumud and Digitoise buildings – the best sources of Pal oil.

To farm coal
Like the Pal Oil mentioned above, Coal is also very important for your mid and late game. A good spot for a coal and ore farming base is at coordinates 180 and -39 at the Sealed Realm of the Guardian, southwest of Frostbound Mountain.
Coal is not the charcoal you make with a Fire Pal in your base. This is about the traditional hard coal, which you need for more powerful weapons and more complex buildings. There is more information about it here:

For antique components
In order to craft the most important buildings, you need ancient components. The more you have of it, the better. Accordingly, a well-placed warehouse to farm these items can boost your progress.
This is exactly why we recommend the place south of the fortress ruins at level 11 Alpha-Pal Chillet. Since it is the weakest Alpha Pal, you can fight it relatively early and the higher your level, the easier and faster it is. Defeated Alpha Pals respawn after approximately one real hour. A camp at Chillet quickly gives you important components.
