Paludan wants to leave Sweden: “The Swedish people don’t understand”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In an interview with Uppdrag gränskning, Rasmus Paludan tells how he expected riots during his Easter tour last year, which ended with over 160 injured police officers.

– I had expected riots. The only ones who didn’t get it were the Swedes, because they are probably stupid in the head, says Rasmus Paludan, party leader Strict Course.

He believes that the riots did not have the political consequences he had hoped for and that he does not see himself as a winner.

– I only win if the Swedish people understand this, and they didn’t.

“Will not go to Sweden”

An investigation is underway in Malmö where Paludan is suspected of incitement against a group of people after setting the Koran on fire. He denies the charges and has refused to go to Sweden to be questioned.

– I will not be going to Sweden in the foreseeable future. It has to do with safety. It is lousy throughout Sweden with the exception of Stockholm. But only operating from Stockholm if you are going to win an election is hardly relevant. And some Koran burnings outside the Turkish embassy are not relevant either.

The police’s final bill: SEK 84 million

The police do not want to respond to Paludan’s criticism of security.

– His statement must stand for himself, says Malin Sahlström at the police.

According to new figures from the police, Paludan’s election meetings between April and September last year cost the police SEK 84 million.

Paludan does not think he got the effect he wanted with his demonstrations in Sweden – see the interview in the clip above.
