Palestinians in Kalmar: “Everyone becomes a loser in the war”

Dalia, who now lives on Öland, struggled for a long time before she was finally able to reach her parents by phone, which was very difficult given that Israel has cut off electricity, water and all communications in the area.

Tala Abu Mustafa, Dalia’s niece who is in the Gaza Strip, is afraid and wants to leave the area. She has witnessed tragic scenes where people of all ages, including children, women and the elderly, have lost their lives.

Want to leave the area

– I feel terrified here, and I just want to get away to a safer area, says Tala Abu Mustafa.

Rana Ibrahim, Tala’s mother, says they have received instructions from Israeli authorities to evacuate the area due to bombings, but they don’t know where to go, and their only wish is to experience safety.

“Everyone is a loser”

– All we want is security. Politics is no longer relevant to us. Here in Gaza, human rights are not respected. We are asking the world for help, says Rana Ibrahim.

– I am against war, because everyone loses in it, but I am Palestinian, and I stand by my nation, concludes Dalia Ibrahim.
