At least 16 people were killed and 50 wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip on Saturday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health under the extremist organization Hamas says.
The attack was carried out on a school in the Nuseirat district in central Gaza, which was used to house Palestinians who had to leave their homes. According to the Hamas-affiliated press service, it was a UNRWA school, which accommodated 7,000 people.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the attack was carried out against “several terrorists” operating in the area of UNRWA’s al-Jawn school.
