Pajemploi an application to help parents and nannies

Parents who hire a childminder or child minder at home are required to declare their employee. To simplify the task of both parties, Urssaf presented Thursday, April 23 the application “My daily Pajemploi”. Here’s everything you need to know to make a statement.

[Mise à jour du 23 juin à 16h30] To have their child looked after, some parents choose a childminder. Others opt for home care, either all day or just a few hours. In any case, they have obligation to declare their employee on the Pajemploi website. New, the Urssaf has created an application, “My daily Pajemploi”, presented Thursday, June 23 at a press conference. The goal: to simplify the procedures for employer parents and childminders. How it works ? Find everything you need to know about the declaration.

With the aim of simplifying and harmonizing the declarations of parents employing a nanny, My Pajemploi app was specially designed for this use. Accessible to employer parents but also to employed nannies, it makes it possible to monitor the number of hours of effective call duty, and to automate the calculations accordingly. In order to adapt in due time to schedule changes, it will therefore be possible to notify holidays or overtime without ever forgetting anything, since the application works in real time. With automatic updates, both parties will be able to consult the counters, preview the declarations and have an overview of the remuneration and leave – acquired or in the process of being acquired.

Another facility, and not the least of the application: help in the end of contract. Often prey to numerous administrative hassles when the time comes to part with his “ass dude”, “Mon Pajemploi aujour” will carry out all the steps for the parent-employers: calculation of the severance pay, duration of the notice or employer certificate…

Finally, for parents using the universal service employment check (CESU) for the care of their child(ren) over the age of 6, they will have from September the advantage, via the application, of benefiting immediate advance of the tax credit.

Childminders and home care workers can be found via agencies, ad sites or the Relais enfants-parents (REP) in your municipality. During an interview, you can ask all your questions to your future employee, and vice versa. This is the time to agree on education methods, salary, hours and holidays. Once this is done, place the employment contract!

Employment contract ; mandatory, one contract per child?

The answer is yes. If you employ someone, it’s like for companies: the employment contract is mandatory. This protects your employee, but also you. This contract, most of the time for an indefinite period, allows you to set the conditions for childcare: hours, salary, holidays… Note that you undertake to declare your employee. This will allow you to benefit from the free choice of childcare supplement (CMG) or a tax credit, depending on your means test. Finally, remember that, in the case of childminders, it is one contract per child : if the same person takes care of two children from the same family, two contracts must be made.

How much will my babysitter be paid?

Salary and allowances of a childminder

The salary of your childminder cannot be less than 0.281 times the gross hourly minimum wage, explains Pajemploi. At 1er October 2021, this represents 2.95 euros gross per hour (2.30 net). However, each employee may have their own salary expectations, and may ask for a higher hourly wage. This amount includes your employee’s social security contributions. For a maternal assistant, it will also be necessary to count maintenance allowance, for supplies used by your child (games, bedding, changing table, etc.) and general accommodation costs. Depending on the case, a mileage allowance and meal allowance may also be due. Attention : if your child is absent, you must still pay the salary but not the allowances.

Salary of a live-in nanny

Regarding home care, the salary is not the same. He’s from 10.60 euros gross per hour minimumaccording to the last calculation dating back to 1er July 2021. To this must be added a possible mileage allowance if she uses her vehicle to transport your children. You must also set transport fee, corresponding to his route to your home. If she does at least 50% of 35 hours per week, you must reimburse her half of the amount incurred. If she achieves less time, “the reimbursement is calculated in proportion to the number of hours worked in relation to half of the duration of full-time workNote that, if you feed and/or house her, the costs can be deducted from her salary.

The Pajemploi declaration must be made every month between the 25e day and the 5e of the following month. Respecting this deadline is very important, first of all because it triggers the payment of the CMG. Then, it is to respect your employee so that she is paid and receives her payslip on time. The declaration sheet is to be completed on the Pajemploi website. You have to :

  • indicate the period of work (which month),
  • the date of salary payment,
  • the number of hours,
  • the number of days of activity and paid holidays.
  • You can also indicate any specific hours worked between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., on Sundays and on public holidays.
  • Then you must add the net salary, maintenance, mileage, meal or break allowances.
  • Parents who employ a single childminder to look after several of their children have only one declaration to make. If they have two, two declarations must be completed.

If you wish to end the contract of your childminder or your home care provider, remember that there is a notice period calculated according to their seniority.. Both parties can agree to do it or not. After signing the end of contract, you must declare their last salary and severance pay (for a CDI) or the precarious bonus (for a CDD). Do not forget to give him the documents corresponding to this process. The Pajemploi site offers parent employers a stimulator on www.findecontrat-pajemploi.urssaf.frwhich makes it possible to estimate the sums due, the duration of the notice and find out more about the procedure to follow.

► From 1er January 2022, the end-of-contract indemnity will be due if your childminder has looked after your child for at least 9 months, compared to 12 months previously.
