Pair stole makeup for SEK 200,000 with stroller

Store thefts have increased drastically • The security manager: “It is not uncommon”

It is stolen for 30 million every day in Sweden and it can be anything from individuals to organized leagues that commit the crimes. Clips picked up from Wanted shows how two people recently picked up makeup at H&M in Farsta – worth SEK 42,000.

– It is not uncommon, there is an incredible amount of thefts in the stores, one second you have put things on the table and the other second it is gone, says Nina Jelver.

Taken makeup for hundreds of kronor

This is not the first time the couple visits an H&M store and filling their pockets. They have stolen makeup for over SEK 200,000, each time with a stroller. According to Nina Jelver, crime has increased in recent years and she is not surprised by the clips.

– The couple is not an exception. The thefts have increased at an unpleasant pace, we are cursed that it is done so little about it.

About 40 percent of all thefts are committed within the grocery store, which includes products in fashion, electronics and interior design. This means that products for SEK 4.5 billion disappear every year and the most common that is stolen are clothing, accessories, shoes and jewelry.

– It is stolen more today than ever, if you look at the grocery trade it increased by about 17 percent compared to when we last measured.

Stolen products are resold

She believes that stolen clothes are often sold on, especially on social media. But when it comes to cosmetics, the thieves can add other sales methods.

– Low -price stores have seen that their mascaras were sold at the subway. They can also be sold in markets where everyone is looking for cheap prices. These stores are extremely vulnerable, especially in Stockholm city, she says.

About 30 percent of all thefts are reported to the police – even though it usually does not lead to any investigation.

– It gets frustrating when nothing happens. It is an extremely big problem and the stores spend so much money on this already. You can do more but everything is associated with more costs that are not reasonable.
