A 49-year-old man was charged with impaired driving shortly after arriving at work in the Petrolia area, Lambton provincial police say.
Police said officers were called around 5:30 pm Monday about a potentially impaired driver showing up to work at an unidentified workplace on Petrolia Line in St. Clair Township.
“Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment,” police said in a statement.
The driver was arrested and taken to headquarters for testing.
Jason Woods, 49, from Kanata, Ont., has been charged with two impaired driving-related charges and was given an upcoming court date.
A second suspect, this time from Sarnia, was also recently charged with impaired driving in St. Clair Township, provincial police say.
Officers saw a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 40 near Holt Line around 5:15 pm on Feb. 26. The driver showed signs of being impaired, but refused to give a breath sample and was arrested.
Eric Rollo, 33, from Sarnia was charged with failing or refusing to comply with a breath demand and will be in court at a later date.
