Pair clash, cell damaged, woman charged: Chatham-Kent police

A woman faces charges after a man and woman clashed and a holding cell was damaged, Chatham-Kent police say.

An officer called to a King Street East home in Chatham about 1 am Wednesday learned a man and woman had clashed and arrested a suspect, police said. Later, the suspect damaged a cell at police headquarters.

A Chatham woman, 21, is charged with assault, uttering threats and mischief, police said. She was released with conditions and a Jan. 15 short date.

Two charged after domestic dispute

A Chatham peer faces charges after a domestic dispute in Chatham, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers called to a King Street West apartment about 4:30 am Wednesday learned a woman had initiated communication with a man, who was bound by release conditions not to communicate with her, police said.

Investigation revealed the man had assaulted the woman during a recent argument, police said.

Both were arrested, police said.

A Chatham man, 29, is charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of an undertaking, police said.

A Chatham woman, 28, is charged with facilitating a breach of an undertaking, police said.

Both were held pending bail hearings, police said.
