A Pain Court woman won $100,000 by paying an extra $1 to add Encore to the Lotto Max ticket she purchased for the Dec. 6, 2022, draw.
Melissa Bradley, 40, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order to win.
Bradley said this was her first big win, while Lotto Max was her favorite game to play, when she visited the OLG Prize Center in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
“I was going to the store on my way home from work when I decided to pick up a ticket,” she told lottery officials. “I checked my ticket the next day and, when I saw I won big, I was so excited!
“My family and friends were so shocked,” Bradley added.
“I’ve never seen this many zeroes – it’s surreal,” she said as she received her check.
She plans to use her win to save for her child’s education.
“I feel very lucky and grateful,” said Bradley, who purchased the winning ticket at Mac’s on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
