Joakim Paasikivi points out that the failed Ukrainian summer offensive has made the probability of a prolonged war now quite high.

– And then there is always the risk of mistakes. That something goes wrong when Russia is aggressive. So it’s certainly worse than it was a year ago, says lieutenant colonel Joakim Paasikivi.
