Comedian Özz Nûjen is on his way out on a huge tour. For a year he will visit 100 locations with his show “Citizen Nûjen”. In it he will take the temp on the entire electoral movement and in after five he promised that “no party is safe”.
But the happy tour plans are on a sad basis. Özz Nûjen’s sister recently passed away in cancer and the loss has taken the comedian hard.
– Personally, I don’t feel very good, to be honest. I live in a vacuum, I don’t know how to fix the day. I miss her tremendously. She was my hero. We have called each other every day for 25 years. She was incredibly smart, incredibly friendly, incredibly fun. She gets me tremendously, he says.
Promised his sister to continue
But the comedian chooses to continue the plans with his tour. It turns out that the motivation for the ambitious project is a promise Özz Nûjen made to his now dead sister. She gathered the family and then talked to each one before she left.
– She told me “you have to go on”. And I promised her. And I said I should. So I have to. You have to cope. You have no other choice. Sometimes you have no choice but to try to work on and fight. We can’t just give up. You must not give up. We’re not like that. We don’t give up, he says.
Why do you think it was so important for her to tell you that you have to continue?
– She wasn’t even a year older than me and we were so close to each other. She really saw me. She looked through me. She knew when I was lying and not. She knew that I feel best when I am on stage and entertaining people.
